This expert panel discussion, hosted by the 91ÇÑ×Ó Climate Change Research Group, looks back at the ins and outs of COP 29 in Baku.

The panel will discuss what has changed in climate governance in the wake of Baku and what this means moving forward.

About the speakers

  • Dr Unnikrishnan Nair: Assistant Director, Climate Change, Commonwealth Secretariat
  • Bob Ward: Policy and Communications Director, The Grantham Institute, London School of Economics
  • Dr Julia Blocher: Project lead - HABITABLE, the EU’s largest ever project linking climate change and migration
  • Longgena Ginting: Indonesia Country Director, Purpose, an NGO dedicated to social impact on climate change, global poverty and voting rights
  • Nivedita Bhansal: Climate Leader, Women’s Climate Collective
  • Flora Pereira: Chief Engagement and Education Officer, The Pulitzer Centre

The panel will be chaired by Dr Laurie Parsons, RGS Climate Change Research Group chair.
