The 91ÇÑ×Ó book series publishes the very best of international academic scholarship, from across geography and cognate disciplines. Over 65 titles have been published with Wiley since 2001.

The current book series formed out of two separate series: IBG Special Publications (1968-1997) and IBG Studies in Geography (1991-1994).

Reflecting the vibrant and diverse theoretical and empirical agendas that characterise contemporary geography, books in the series are expected to inform, challenge, and stimulate the reader. Overall, our book series seeks to promote scholarly publications that leave an intellectual mark and challenge the way readers think about particular issues, methods or theories.

In January 2024, the Society entered into a new publishing partnership with LSE Press, a fully open access publisher. By publishing all forthcoming titles fully open access, the book series aims to reach a broader audience and achieve greater impact for the published research.
