Society policies and statements
The Society has a series of policies and public statements that guide our work. Read our public statements and policies.
Public statements from the Society
The Society is dedicated to the advancement of geographical science and its application to the challenges facing the world’s people, places and environments. We are a charity registered with the UK’s Charity Commission, a learned society, a professional body and a membership organisation.
Given the constraints of our Charter, the requirements of the Charity Commission and our policy on advocacy and lobbying, the Society is limited to making public statements on or about geography.
